1991, the beginning
HTML , stand for "HyperText Markup Language". It was created at the beginning of the web
in 1991. Its role is to manage and organize the content. It is therefore in HTML that you will write what
must be displayed on the page: text, links, images ...
It does not include any kind of style or design.
How does it work ?
HTML pages are filled with what are called tags. These are invisible on the screen to your visitors,
but they allow the computer to understand what to display.Tags are easily located. Thet are surrounded by "Brackets"
, < and > like this <tag>
What are they for ? They say the nature of the text they frame. They mean for example "This is the title of the main page",
"This is an image","This is a paragraph of text", and so on.
